Whole-bunch pressed, wild fermentation in seasoned French hogsheads, 11 months on lees. Named in honour of veteran viticulturist Lucas Grigsby, this is the first release from Bannockburn's close-planted chardonnay block. Well-composed and compact, Grisgby combines a creamy textural mouthfeel with a world of intense citrus, nectarine and almond skin with a clean cut of tart quince to finish. Works the tastebuds in all directions before closing in tight and long.
