Comes out a vibrant dark cherry hue and very reductive, so lots of meaty, charcuterie aromas which don’t entirely dissipate. Still, there are dark cherries and licorice, sandalwood and cedar within. It’s juicy with plenty of acidity and a light spray of tannins. Best to have this with pizza Napoli.

A number of clones of Sangiovese as well as small quantities of the traditional Chianti blending varieties Canaiolo Nero, Mammolo, Colorino and Malvasia Nera are grown on a range of vineyards across both granite and shaley soil near Murrumbateman.
Spiced redcurrant, mulberry and tobacco yield to a rich palate framed by cherries, hints of tar and firm savoury tannins.
