The 2021 Greenock Shiraz is meaty, mellifluous, muscled and mighty in a single swoop. Aromatically punchy, the wine holds back nothing in the mouth: oatmeal/wheaty oak encases blueberries and mulberries aplenty. Tannins are firm and ever present. It feels as if it still needs time to pull together—it's all gloves off for now. There's so much moving about in this ring that the best place to watch is from the sidelines.
