Complex shiraz with herb, meat, woodsmoke and mint characters rippling through cherry and plum fruit flavours. It's cool and composed but flavoursome, too, with clove notes running out ahead of it all and excellent length to the finish. It's not the heaviest of Heathcote reds and it doesn't need to be; it has a whole lot else going on besides.

The 2021 vintage was exceptional in Heathcote, with all the makings of our finest yet. One of our coldest winters in recent memory was followed by a warm and dry spring, with perfect, even set and growth. The warm, dry and consistent conditions prevailed throughout summer, resulting in highly concentrated small berries.
Lifted perfume with layers of red and black fruits. Pristine and poised with floral notes, tar, gun flint and exceptional concentration and purity. The palate is seamless and fine, loaded with fruit texture and tightly packed savoury tannins.
