The 2021 Vista Shiraz Barbera is juicy, bright and spicy—but it's Shiraz Barbera, so what else did we expect? It's luminous in the glass, luminous in the mouth and shaped by a bevy of fine, almost spindly tannins and tense, briny acidity. A lovely wine. Bouncy, almost.

Bright ruby into a purple rim. Mulberry, crushed violets and black pepper aromas. A stylishly medium weight shiraz that is silken as it flows with purple berries and lifts of spice notes across the palate to a long finish 24 AUG 2022 Drink 2022–2028

Longview’s sense of place is reflected in Varied Inclines Slopes Terrain & Aspects. Given that Australia is known internationally for its unique blends and forward thinking wine-making, it makes sense to use Australia’s hero red variety, Shiraz and blend it with one of Italy’s finest, Barbera.
