Concentrated powerful crimson red, with slightly darker raspberry fruit. Quite a good concentration in the middle before the tannins come up behind, along with some acidity. Will become more supple with time. The fruit itself is on the elegant side. Drink from 2027-2033. Tasted: October 2022.

The commune of Aloxe-Corton has the unusual distinction of having over half its area covered in Grand Cru vineyards. It has an exposure ranging from east to south and Southwest.
The Grand Cru vineyard of Les Pougets is directly adjacent to Le Charlemagne climat, on the upper and mid-slope. It is among the five vineyards of the commune in which the variegated soils, alternating between chalk and iron-rich marl, produce both Corton Pougets and Corton Charlemagne.
