Rocche Costamagna Barolo del Comune di La Morra DOCG offers cherry, rose and spice with silky tannins and village character.
An intense wine with aromas of bergamot, potpourri, filigreed red currants, mint, minerals, chocolate and olives. A savory palate with a full body, firm, dusty yet ripe tannins, vibrant, zesty acidity and an attractive aftertaste. Try after 2027.

La Morra shows off its charm here, sending up perfume like a summer garden in full bloom. Wild roses and tart plums play tag with crushed bay leaves, while the palate dances with crunchy red fruits and electric energy. The tannins know exactly when to step in and when to step back, making this both serious and seriously delicious.

Rocche Costamagna has been at the heart of La Morra since 1841, with generations of the Costamagna family crafting wines that express the elegance and heritage of one of Barolo's most celebrated villages. From their historic cellars overlooking the Langhe, the estate has earned a reputation for producing refined Nebbiolo with authenticity, balance and longevity.
Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a village expression sourced from selected vineyards throughout the commune, showcasing the fragrant, approachable style that has made La Morra famous. The area's calcareous marl soils produce Nebbiolo with lifted aromatics, silky tannins and remarkable finesse while retaining the structure to reward long term cellaring.
The colour is a brilliant garnet red with youthful ruby reflections. Aromas of rose petals, red cherry and wild strawberry are layered with orange peel, liquorice and sweet spice. The palate is elegant and beautifully structured, combining vibrant red fruits with silky tannins and fresh acidity. Notes of tar, dried herbs and earthy complexity emerge with time in the glass, while the finish is long, savoury and unmistakably Barolo.
A superb companion for truffle risotto, braised beef cheeks, duck ragù with pappardelle or porcini mushroom dishes. Enjoy with a generous decant today or cellar confidently through the 2040s as the wine develops even greater complexity.
