Light green-yellow. Fine fruit on the nose. The palate is firm and full-bodied with lots of pineapple fruit, but very well balanced. Spicy finish.
Encircled by a property wall, the Wieden vineyard sits on the sandy alluvial flats at the rear of the winery in Stein. In 1999 Bert’s brother Erich took a massale selection of Grüner vines from Wieden and planted them up the hill on the terraces of the Kreuzberg vineyard up behind Wieden. This wine is a blend of the two sites.
