Stefano Lubiana's flagship pinot noir is striking for its complex aromatic depth. The fruit is pure and true: all red and dark cherry and red plums set on a bed of exotic spices with hints of leaf litter, Chinese barbecue, shiitake broth, pressed purple flowers and earth. Plenty of fruit depth and amaro-edged complexity with tight, grainy tannins, a touch of game and a long finish with driving sour cherry acidity. Lovely stuff.
