Tellurian Wines is the project of winemaker Alister Purbrick, who brings decades of experience and a deep respect for Heathcote’s unique geology. The Redline range is all about clarity and restraint, letting the vineyard speak without overworking the fruit. Extraction is carefully managed and oak is used with a light touch, supporting the wine rather than overwhelming it.

In the glass, the wine is dark and expressive. Blackberry, dark cherry and plum sit at the core, layered with cracked pepper, licorice and subtle spice. There is a savoury undercurrent of ironstone, earth and dried herbs that immediately signals Heathcote rather than a warmer, sweeter Shiraz style.

On the palate, Tellurian Redline Shiraz is medium to full bodied and beautifully shaped. Dark fruit flavours fill the mid palate, supported by firm but fine grained tannins that give length and structure without hardness. Fresh acidity keeps the wine energetic and food friendly, while oak adds polish and gentle spice. The finish is long, dry and savoury, lingering with dark fruit, pepper and mineral notes.
