Two Hands Sexy Beast Cabernet Sauvignon is a confident, full flavoured McLaren Vale Cabernet that leans into generosity while keeping enough structure and savoury detail to stay balanced and seriously drinkable. McLaren Vale’s warm Mediterranean climate and ancient soils give Cabernet real depth here, ripe fruit, plush texture and natural richness, but the best sites also retain freshness thanks to cooling sea breezes and evening temperature drops.

Two Hands Wines was founded by Michael Twelftree with a clear focus on bold, regionally expressive wines, and while Shiraz may be the calling card, the Cabernet Sauvignon range is treated with just as much intent. Sexy Beast sits as the more approachable, earlier drinking expression, but it is still made with care, thoughtful oak use and a strong sense of place. The aim is impact without excess, flavour without heaviness.

In the glass, the wine is dark and expressive. Blackcurrant, cassis and ripe plum lead the charge, followed by notes of dark chocolate, cedar, dried herbs and subtle spice. There is a faint earthy note underneath that adds complexity and pulls the wine firmly into Cabernet territory rather than letting it drift into sweetness.

On the palate, Two Hands Sexy Beast Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and mouth filling, yet well shaped. Dark fruit flavours are supported by firm but ripe tannins that give structure and length. Acidity is well judged, keeping the wine lively and food friendly despite its generosity. Oak adds polish and savoury spice without dominating, and the finish is long, smooth and persistent, lingering with cassis, cocoa and gentle herb notes.

This is a natural partner for food. It works beautifully with grilled or roasted beef, lamb, barbecue, burgers or rich vegetable dishes. Drinking very well now for its bold fruit and balance, it will also cellar comfortably over five to ten years, developing more savoury and earthy complexity with time.
