A vibrant and juicy young cabernet with so much appeal. Bright red fruit notes on the nose with a delicious red fruity palate delivering plenty. Chalky fine tannin and just a smidgeon oak to underpin the fruit combine to produce a wine for drinking over the next few years.

Medium ruby with purple tints to the rim. Blackcurrant, broken slate, and tomato leaf aromas. Fruit is sweeter and plusher on the palate than the nose suggested but there’s good savoury minerality and herbal tones that bring it back to balance. The fruit is sourced from Voyager’s sustainably farmed vineyards close to the cooling breezes of the Indian Ocean. These conditions help produce Cabernet grapes with bright aromatics, ripe tannins, and natural balance. The goal with the Coastal range is to offer a modern, drink-now style of Margaret River Cabernet that still carries the structure, finesse, and terroir character that define the estate’s premium wines.

Fermentation takes place in small batches with careful extraction to preserve fruit vibrancy and build fine tannin structure. The wine is matured in seasoned French oak to add subtle spice and polish without masking the fresh varietal expression.

In the glass, Voyager Coastal Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of cassis, blackberry, bay leaf, and graphite. The palate is medium bodied and vibrant with juicy dark fruits, fine grained tannins, refreshing acidity, and a savoury earthiness that lingers on the finish. It has all the classic Cabernet hallmarks but with an easygoing coastal lift that makes it versatile and ready to enjoy.
