Medium-depth red-purple colour with a striking bouquet of whole-bunch ferment herbs, Campari/bitter Italian herbs uppermost, red fruits/raspberry as well. The wine is very fruit-sweet on the tongue, with glycerol and succulence, then a wave of fine but drying tannins rides in. Very stylish, well balanced. Pushing the envelope of greenness. This may well fuse with the underlying raspberry bonbon, clove and white pepper grind lighting the fire. Yet the whole-bunch-derived mescal and dill pepper is challenging in its youth. To be continued...
