Delightful, juicy aromas of ripe Bing cherry, red plums, dried bay leaf and fresh tobacco play lively on the nose. It builds into an electric, juicy raspberry and citrus cream structure with silky tannins, leaving you awaiting the next sip. Pour and enjoy with smoked duck.

Cabernet Sauvignon has been at the heart of the Bogle family story for decades, offering a dependable expression of California's most celebrated red grape. Farming the rich soils of the Sacramento Delta since the 1800s, the Bogle family established their winery in 1968 and have since become one of America's great family owned success stories. Sustainability, value and consistency remain central to their philosophy, with Warren Bogle and the winemaking team crafting wines that showcase the best of California without the premium price tag.
Fruit for the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from carefully selected vineyard sites across California, where warm days and cool evenings encouraged full flavour development while preserving freshness. Thoughtful oak maturation adds depth and structure, creating a wine that is generous and approachable while retaining classic Cabernet character.
Deep garnet red in colour, the nose reveals layers of blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe plum, intertwined with cedar, vanilla, tobacco leaf and dark chocolate. A touch of dried sage and baking spice adds complexity. Rich and smooth, the palate delivers concentrated black fruit flavours supported by supple tannins and well integrated oak. There is plenty of generosity here, yet the wine remains balanced, with fresh acidity carrying the fruit through a long finish featuring notes of cassis, cocoa and subtle spice.
This versatile Cabernet is equally at home alongside a chargrilled rib eye, slow roasted lamb shoulder, beef bourguignon or a hearty mushroom and lentil shepherd's pie. Its approachable style makes it enjoyable now, while the structure and fruit concentration will reward cellaring over the next five to eight years. Full flavoured, polished and consistently reliable, it is a Cabernet Sauvignon that continues to offer outstanding value for lovers of rich Californian reds.
Cellaring: Drink now through 2032.
