From vines planted in 1933. 70% vinified in tank and 30% in oak, less than 2% new).
(from vines planted in 1933 in Vaillons proper). A slightly cooler nose reflects notes of white pepper and a touch of the exotic while the wood treatment, while subtle, is a bit more noticeable. The old vines are in evidence as the mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is markedly denser as the sappy extract coats the palate while buffering the moderately firm acid spine shaping the very dry, more complex and slightly long finale. Lovely.
