An even cooler and decidedly more restrained nose reluctantly reveals its aromas of petrol, quinine and freshly cut citrus along with a hint of oyster shell. The dense, delicious and vibrant medium-bodied flavors exude both evident sap and minerality on the surprisingly powerful and impressively long finale. This is excellent and definitely worth your interest.

A fine example, with mineral notes adding drive on the palate, together with zesty citrus delivering freshness. Shows a creamy character from the lees ageing which adds extra complexity.

This steep, south, south east facing vineyard looking over the village of Milly and just above Dampt’s home, is set on a stony clay subsoil and enjoys a great aspect. The fruit normally shows a great degree of ripeness and generosity. There is always a lot of millerandage (small grapes) in this vineyard which produces great concentration, and aids long ageing.
