Dampt`s Village Chablis comes predominantly from old, 40-45 year-old vines that grow near the family Domaine, in the hamlet of Milly. There is no oak used here, allowing the individual character of the Chardonnay grape, grown on the chalky hillsides, to be crystal-clear. Colour is bright, pale lemon-green with very fresh, pure lemony aromas. This is a lively, intense, bright wine, with rich concentration and a crisp, long finish.
Located in the village of Milly, Daniel Dampt has now handed the reins of the domaine onto his sons Vincent and Sébastien, who continue to make very pure, intense wine, with the crisply dry, long finish of signature Chablis.
