"Dry White Wine" ... thus speaketh the label. I like that. As advertised on the packet, that is just what it is. If you really need to know it's chenin blanc, crouchen, pinot gris, chardonnay and semillon. A multi-region white varietal mishmash that drinks just great ... all saline slink and exotic filigree courtesy of skin contact, lees ageing and simpatico grape varieties. Just flippin' delicious.

The JC’s Own Freestyler White Blend from the Barossa Valley is a vibrant, textural wine that reflects winemaker Jaysen Collins’ playful, small-batch approach. Under the JC’s Own label, Collins creates wines with minimal intervention, often blending varieties and pushing boundaries to highlight both freshness and personality. The Freestyler White brings together Mediterranean-inspired grapes grown in the Barossa’s diverse soils, resulting in a wine that is bright, aromatic and full of character.
In the glass it is pale straw with a golden tinge. The nose is lifted and expressive, showing pear, lemon zest and white peach alongside floral notes, fresh herbs and a hint of spice. The palate is medium-bodied and lively, with citrus and stone fruit flavours carried by crisp acidity and layered with a subtle nutty texture. A touch of skin contact adds depth and grip, while the finish is refreshing, clean and slightly savoury.
Food pairings suit its aromatic, textural style: grilled prawns with lemon, fish tacos with salsa verde, roast chicken with Mediterranean herbs, or vegetarian dishes like zucchini fritters or chargrilled peppers. It is also an excellent match with soft cheeses and antipasto. Best enjoyed in its youth for its brightness and energy, though it has the complexity to evolve for 3 to 5 years.
