Concentrated aromas of biscuit and pastry dough open on the nose along with a touch of sweet baking spice and dried hay. The palate is robust and built around a persistent fruit core that is framed by yogurt and toasted bread on the lingering finish.

The Moreau family has been part of Chablis for generations, and Louis Moreau continues that tradition with a collection of wines that celebrates the region's remarkable Chardonnay vineyards. Les Clos is the most famous of Chablis' seven Grand Cru climats, renowned for producing wines of exceptional concentration, structure and ageing potential. It is a magnificent expression of the estate's finest terroir.
Rising above the town of Chablis, Les Clos enjoys a favourable exposure and the region's celebrated Kimmeridgian limestone soils. The warm 2022 vintage produced beautifully ripe fruit, while the vineyard's natural mineral character and acidity provide the balance essential to great white Burgundy.
Bright pale gold with luminous straw highlights. Ripe lemon, yellow apple and white peach mingle with acacia blossom, toasted hazelnut and crushed oyster shell. The palate is concentrated and beautifully textured, with succulent citrus, subtle stone fruit and a firm, chalky backbone. Gentle notes of almond, flint and savoury spice carry through a long, mineral finish.
Try it with grilled marron and lemon butter, roast turbot with fennel, or a wild mushroom and Comté tart. Its depth and structure also make it a superb partner for delicate seafood dishes featuring saffron or fresh truffle.
Cellaring: Drink 2027 to 2040+. Already impressive, but several years in the cellar should reveal greater complexity and richness.
