Christophe Patrice comes from a family of Chablis winegrowers, establishing his own domaine in 2006 after years working among the vineyards of northern Burgundy. His wines are known for their freshness, clarity and faithful expression of the region's limestone soils. The 2025 Petit Chablis is a particularly appealing introduction to his style, delivering the lively character of cool climate Chardonnay without unnecessary embellishment.
Grown on the higher slopes around Chablis, Petit Chablis typically comes from Portlandian limestone soils, producing wines with bright acidity and a distinctive mineral character. Careful fermentation and maturation preserve the purity of the Chardonnay fruit, making this a beautifully refreshing expression of the appellation.
Pale straw with a delicate green hue. Crisp green apple, fresh lemon and white grapefruit mingle with citrus blossom and a hint of wet stone. The palate is bright and finely textured, with juicy citrus, refreshing acidity and a subtle chalky character. A clean, mouthwatering finish leaves lingering lemon zest and a gentle saline note.
Try it with freshly shucked oysters, Japanese prawn gyoza with ponzu or grilled zucchini with whipped goat's cheese and fresh dill. Equally lovely alongside a plate of fish tacos with lime and coriander.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2029. Best enjoyed while its citrus freshness and lively mineral character are at their brightest
