Very snappy and crisp on first sip, this gains depth and complexity in toasted almonds and butter as it opens. Alive with crisp apples, lemon zest and a mineral tang that gives a very lively texture and great balance. Medium-bodied. Blended from 60 sites in the region, it was partially barrel fermented. Drink or hold.

The nose is wonderfully floral, bursting with honeysuckle and jasmine, gently framed by salty white peach aromas. It's instantly inviting and draws you in. On the palate, the wine offers a beautiful balance of texture and crisp acidity, unfolding layers of white tea and wet river rock. Delicate and perfectly balanced, it finishes long and smooth, becoming even more captivating with time in the glass. A joy to sip now.

Some of Burgundy's most enjoyable Chardonnays come without a Premier Cru price tag, and Les Sétilles is a perfect example. Olivier Leflaive established his own wine business in 1984, drawing on generations of family experience in Puligny-Montrachet. Today, the house is celebrated for beautifully crafted white Burgundies that balance generous fruit, freshness and the subtle influence of oak.
Les Sétilles takes its name from a vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, with Chardonnay sourced predominantly from vineyards around Puligny and neighbouring Meursault. The warm, sunny 2022 vintage delivered beautifully ripe fruit, creating a wine with lovely depth and texture while retaining the lively acidity that makes good white Burgundy so irresistible.
Bright pale gold with soft straw reflections. Ripe white peach, golden apple and lemon curd mingle with acacia blossom, toasted almond and a gentle hint of vanilla. The palate is rounded and inviting, with succulent orchard fruit, a delicate creamy richness and refreshing citrus acidity. Subtle notes of hazelnut, fresh butter and limestone carry through a lingering, beautifully balanced finish.
Try it with grilled King George whiting and caper butter, roasted cauliflower with miso and sesame, or handmade crab and ricotta ravioli with fresh chervil. Its generous texture also makes it a lovely partner for a golden leek and potato gratin.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2031. Already wonderfully approachable, with enough freshness to develop further savoury complexity over the next several years
