Peregrine Pinot Noir Organic from Central Otago is a pure, poised expression of one of New Zealand’s most celebrated wine regions. Certified organic and crafted with a light touch, it captures the rugged beauty of the region—wild herbs, dark fruit, and striking clarity all rolled into one.
Peregrine is a family-owned winery that’s been pushing boundaries in Central Otago since the late 1990s, with a strong focus on sustainability and organic farming. Winemaker Nadine Cross, known for her elegant, terroir-driven style, lets the Bannockburn and Pisa vineyard sites do the heavy lifting, working with wild fermentations and minimal oak to keep the fruit at the centre.
It’s beautifully aromatic, with lifted notes of black cherry, wild strawberry, thyme, and a flicker of baking spice. The palate is silky and savoury, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and layers of red and dark fruit, forest floor, and subtle oak integration. There’s a lovely sense of tension—bright and structured, but with real finesse.
This Pinot is built for food. Think duck breast with cherry jus, grilled salmon, lentil and mushroom ragu, or miso-glazed eggplant. You can enjoy it young for its vibrancy or let it evolve in the cellar for extra depth and earthiness.
