A floral juice, very fresh, mineral, vibrant and full-bodied, this wine is very fruity and quite deep
This sunny terroir is located just above Clos de Tart and represents a geological symphony. Its soil, strewn with outcrops of rock in places, bears witness to a rare mineral richness. Extremely low in organic matter, this terroir gives the wine an exceptionally deep minerality. Here, the roots of the vines plunge deep into the rocky soil, absorbing the mineral complexity of their environment. The wines from this plot are crystalline, reflecting the influence of the ancient stones in the soil, which impart a distinctive character, exceptional minerality and purity
The 2022 harvest, which began on August 31st, took place under summer temperatures. This year, the growing season was marked by striking climatic contrasts. After a rainy autumn and a frigid December, February and March brought unusually mild weather. The spring, bathed in sunshine and drought, was particularly mild, peaking in May with the highest temperatures in the past fifty years, which encouraged vigorous vine growth. The summer, one of the hottest since 2003, was punctuated by heatwaves in late June, mid-July, and throughout August. Despite the intense heat, the water reserves accumulated over winter ensured a harmonious maturation of the grapes. The 2022 vintage, though shaped by extreme climatic conditions, yields wines of great finesse and remarkable elegance, offering exquisite freshness and generous volume on the palate.
The Perrot-Minot Morey-Saint-Denis Jubile 30 Ans is a remarkable Pinot Noir from the renowned Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy. Crafted by Domaine Perrot-Minot, this wine celebrates the domaine's 30-year legacy of producing world-class wines. "Jubile 30 Ans" represents a special cuvée that highlights the expertise and passion of Christophe Perrot-Minot and his commitment to showcasing the unique terroirs of Morey-Saint-Denis.
The fruit for this wine is sourced from select vineyards in Morey-Saint-Denis, known for their limestone-rich soils and ideal microclimate for cultivating Pinot Noir. These parcels produce grapes of exceptional quality, with rich concentration and vibrant acidity. Sustainable and biodynamic viticulture practices are central to the domaine’s philosophy, ensuring that the vines remain healthy and the fruit reflects the essence of the terroir.
Harvested by hand, the grapes undergo natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. A portion of whole clusters may be included during vinification to enhance aromatic complexity and structure. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels, with careful attention to the balance of new oak, ensuring the wine’s elegance and purity remain at the forefront.
The Perrot-Minot Morey-Saint-Denis Jubile 30 Ans opens with a captivating bouquet of red and dark berries, such as cherry and blackberry, interwoven with floral notes of violet and subtle hints of spice and earth. On the palate, it is refined and harmonious, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and layers of fruit flavors complemented by a touch of minerality. The wine’s finish is long and complex, showcasing its exceptional craftsmanship and aging potential.
This wine is an excellent match for dishes such as roasted duck, game meats, or truffle-infused risotto. With the ability to age gracefully for 10-15 years or more, it is a true collector’s item and a testament to the enduring legacy of Domaine Perrot-Minot.
