Not organic. Quite a full yellow colour. Plums, evidently quite ripe, not too rich but not the most energetic either. A solid competent mouthful with a little more energy on the palate, and an attractive if fleshy finish. Drink from 2024-2025. Tasted Feb 2024.

Rémi Jobard Bourgogne Blanc from Côte d’Or is a beautifully crafted Chardonnay that offers an excellent introduction to the refined style of this highly respected Burgundian producer. Known for his meticulous vineyard management and organic practices, Rémi Jobard focuses on low yields and minimal intervention to create wines that emphasize purity, minerality, and balance. Sourced from vineyards around Meursault, this Bourgogne Blanc benefits from the same care and attention as his more prestigious cuvées.
Pale gold with a bright sheen, the wine reveals enticing aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, and white peach, intertwined with notes of toasted almond and wet stone. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and richly textured, displaying flavors of ripe pear, lemon curd, and subtle hints of brioche. A fine mineral backbone and crisp acidity provide structure and precision, leading to a long, refreshing finish with lingering citrus and saline notes.
This Bourgogne Blanc is highly versatile with food, pairing well with roast chicken, seared scallops, and creamy pasta dishes. Its freshness and minerality also make it an excellent match for grilled fish, vegetable tarts, and soft cheeses like Comté or Brie. While approachable now, it has the potential to evolve over the next 3–5 years, developing greater complexity.
Rémi Jobard’s dedication to producing terroir-driven wines has earned him a loyal following, with his Bourgogne Blanc standing as a benchmark for quality in its category.
