Amelia Park Shiraz from Frankland River delivers a bold yet refined expression of Western Australian Shiraz, shaped by one of the state's coolest and most remote wine regions. Winemaker Jeremy Gordon draws on the unique characteristics of Frankland River’s ancient granite soils and long, dry growing season to craft a wine that marries power with poise.
In the glass, it offers up fragrant aromas of black cherry, cracked pepper, dark plum, and hints of violet and baking spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with excellent structure, showcasing concentrated blackberry and mulberry fruit layered with savoury black olive, subtle earthiness and integrated French oak. Tannins are firm but ripe, contributing to a long and elegant finish.
This wine pairs brilliantly with grilled lamb, mushroom and rosemary ragù, or aged cheddar. Cellar confidently for 8 to 10 years for further complexity and bottle age development.
