From the remarkable chalk laden slopes of Brézé in Saumur, Arnaud Lambert crafts Cabernet Franc that is all about precision, tension and quiet depth. A leading figure in the Loire’s organic and biodynamic movement, Lambert works with meticulous care in both vineyard and cellar, allowing low yielding old vines and tuffeau limestone soils to define the wine’s personality. Clos Mazurique is a special walled parcel that consistently produces Cabernet Franc of aromatic finesse and mineral structure, offering a more refined, chiselled expression of the grape.

A brilliant ruby garnet sits in the glass with luminous clarity. The nose is beautifully lifted, revealing red cherry, cranberry and wild raspberry intertwined with violet, graphite and a delicate earthy whisper of crushed chalk and forest floor.
