2023 De Iuliis Single Vineyard Semillon, Hunter Valley

The garden vineyard is located within the sandy creek flats of their Steven Vineyard in central Pokolbin. This is an intensely flavoured semillon with piercing lemon tart and bright quince flavours underpinned by a defined line of citrusy acidity. The wine has incredible vitality and intensity. Although it is beautiful now, it also has the capacity for cellaring.

Pale lime green in colour, this wine boasts a delicate nose of jasmine and citrus. Subtle hints of lemon sorbet and racy lime makes for a refreshing and clean wine that can be enjoyed right now. The crisp acidity not only gives the wine exceptional balance, but insight into its future potential.

Excellent growing conditions in 2023 led to delicate and aromatic whites. Handpicked and whole bunch pressed to encourage delicate aromatics and vibrant characteristics.

The wine is in a great spot now with a bright palate and crisp, zesty acidity. This semillon will develop gracefully over the next 10 to 15 years. If you can wait that long…
