Fresh and zesty, with crisp apple and lime at the forefront. Subtle hints of eucalyptus weave beneath the fruit, adding lift and a cooling herbal nuance. Bright acidity keeps the profile lively and focused, finishing clean and well-balanced with a refreshing snap

90 points Wine Enthusiast

Stretching across the dramatic hillsides around Guebwiller, Domaine Schlumberger is one of Alsace's most historic and respected estates. The family has been cultivating vineyards here since 1810, building an international reputation for wines that capture the distinctive character of Alsace's steep, sun drenched slopes. The Les Princes Abbés range represents the heart of the estate, showcasing the purity, freshness and regional identity that have made Schlumberger a benchmark producer.

The vineyards are planted on a complex mix of sandstone, limestone and volcanic influenced soils, providing ideal conditions for Riesling. Alsace's dry climate and long growing season allow the grapes to achieve full flavour development while retaining vibrant acidity. The 2023 vintage delivered fruit of exceptional purity, resulting in a wine that balances citrus intensity, minerality and elegant structure.

Pale straw with green highlights, the bouquet is lifted and expressive, revealing aromas of lime zest, lemon blossom and green apple alongside hints of white flowers and crushed stone. The palate is crisp and beautifully focused, delivering flavours of citrus, pear and grapefruit supported by bright acidity and a fine mineral backbone. There is wonderful energy and precision throughout, while the finish is long, dry and refreshing, lingering with citrus and stony notes.

This is a versatile food wine that pairs beautifully with oysters, grilled prawns, sushi, smoked trout, pork schnitzel or a goat's cheese tart. Equally enjoyable as an aperitif, it showcases the freshness, purity and food friendly nature that make Alsace Riesling one of the world's most rewarding white wine styles.
