Domaine Collotte Gevrey Chambertin Evocelles Cote de Nuits is a finely etched single vineyard Pinot Noir from one of the northernmost parcels of Gevrey Chambertin. Domaine Collotte, based in Marsannay and led by Philippe Collotte, has built a reputation for precision, sustainable vineyard work and authentic Côte de Nuits character. Evocelles sits high on the slope near the border with Brochon, where cooler air flows and limestone rich soils produce wines of aromatic lift, tension and structure. This elevated position often gives Evocelles a slightly more linear, mineral profile compared with richer mid slope Gevrey sites, making it particularly compelling for collectors who appreciate finesse within power.

The colour is bright ruby with youthful garnet highlights. Aromas are lifted and detailed, revealing red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry layered with violet, subtle spice and a touch of crushed stone. There is a distinct savoury undertone of earth and dried herbs that speaks clearly of classic Gevrey Chambertin terroir.

On the palate it is medium to full bodied with impressive structure and clarity. Red and dark cherry fruit unfold across firm yet refined tannins, supported by vibrant acidity that gives drive and longevity. Notes of clove, forest floor and finely integrated oak add complexity, while the limestone influence provides a mineral backbone that carries through to a long, poised finish. It is a wine of balance, combining Gevrey depth with elegance and precision.
