Single-vineyard pinot noir from the Brownwood vineyard in Campania, Coal River Valley; 35% whole bunch, 12 months in 25% new French oak. 110 dozen produced. A finely structured, elegant pinot with some lovely whole bunch spice and amaro tone suffusing through the ripe cherry and blue fruits. The stretchy, kinetic tannins here really impress and a mineral pulse provides plenty of propulsion. Super stuff.

100% Pinot Noir from Campania, Coal Valley.
Single block and single clone (Pommard/D4V2) from the Brownwood Vineyard or OOO without the all the consonants. Extra attention was given to this block as it was showing potential for something special early in the season. Lower crops (<1.5t/acre) along with extra thinning and careful leaf plucking to try and maximise fruit quality. Fermented as one single batch with 35% whole bunches and extended post ferment maceration for 3 weeks. Matured in barriques with 25% new French oak for 12 months. Impressive density of fruit with nice clarity and fine long tannins. Offering immediate pleasure currently, this will repay patience kindly.

Crafted with precision and a focus on minimal intervention, this Pinot Noir showcases the region’s pristine environment and exceptional fruit quality.
On the nose, enticing aromas of wild strawberries, red cherries, and pomegranate are complemented by delicate floral notes and hints of forest floor, spice, and a touch of earthy minerality.
The palate is elegantly structured, featuring fine tannins and bright acidity that provide freshness and balance. Flavors of juicy red berries, cranberry, and a subtle hint of clove lead to a long, silky finish with lingering notes of spice and minerality.
Sourced from premium vineyards in the Coal River Valley, the wine benefits from the region’s cool maritime climate, which allows for slow ripening and the development of nuanced flavors. Gentle handling and maturation in French oak barrels enhance the wine's complexity while preserving its vibrant fruit profile.
Perfect for pairing with roast duck, grilled salmon, or mushroom risotto, this Pinot Noir also complements charcuterie and aged cheeses. Enjoyable now for its youthful charm, it also has the potential to develop further complexity with careful cellaring over the next 5–7 years.
