Light straw with a green tinge and bright characters of crunchy green apple, lime cordial and grapefruit along with hints of jasmine, crushed stone, honeysuckle, fennel and a touch of white peach. There's tight, stony acidity and a slink of texture, the wine finishing long, pure and limey with a touch of apple sorbet zinginess.

Gala Estate White Label Riesling from Tasmania’s East Coast is a vivid expression of cool-climate Australian Riesling, crafted with clarity, finesse and a touch of wild elegance. Established in 1821, Gala Estate is one of Tasmania’s oldest farming properties, with a rich colonial history and sixth-generation custodianship. The vineyard itself lies on the banks of the Swan River, in a region that enjoys long, sunny days, cooling sea breezes and ancient soils that contribute to its distinctive, mineral-driven wines.
The White Label Riesling is sourced from estate-grown fruit on the dolerite and alluvial soils of the property, which encourage complexity and a nervy line of acidity. This Riesling is fermented cool in stainless steel to preserve the electric purity of the fruit and highlight the site's natural tension.
In the glass, it’s all about energy and precision. Aromas of lime zest, white blossom, green apple and subtle jasmine leap from the glass. The palate is racy and dry, with laser-like acidity carrying flavours of citrus pith, finger lime and crushed stones. There's a touch of saline minerality on the finish that speaks clearly of Tasmania’s maritime influence. Bright, tight and refreshing now, it will age beautifully over the next 8 to 10 years, developing honeyed and toasty complexity.
Pair it with oysters, fresh prawns, Thai salads, or delicate goat cheese for an effortless match that lets the wine’s purity shine.
