From a vineyard in Yellingbo, 6km from Gembrook; 100% destemmed and fermented for three to four weeks on skins. A light, bright cherry crimson red. Lifted with a cornucopia of summer red fruits, florals and spices such as cardamon and cinnamon. Equally good on the light- to medium-bodied, supple and persistent palate. A delight to drink now and over the next two to three years.

Gembrook Hill Village Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley is a fun, fresh expression of this iconic variety that doesn’t break the bank. While Pinot Noir often comes with a hefty price tag, this one offers incredible value without compromising on quality. Sourced from the cool-climate Yarra Valley, renowned for its ability to produce elegant and balanced wines, this Pinot Noir is all about capturing the vibrant fruit character and bright acidity that the region does so well.

The fruit comes from the Gembrook Hill vineyard, a site known for its varied soils and perfect exposure to the elements, providing the ideal conditions for Pinot Noir to develop its signature complexity. The winemaking here is hands-off, allowing the fruit’s natural flavors to shine while preserving the freshness and liveliness that make this wine so appealing. With minimal oak influence, the focus is on the purity of the Pinot Noir, creating a light-bodied, easy-drinking style that’s perfect for casual sipping or pairing with a variety of dishes.

On the nose, Gembrook Hill Village Pinot Noir greets you with vibrant aromas of red berries—strawberry, raspberry, and cherry—intertwined with a subtle hint of spice and earth. There’s also a floral undertone, adding an extra layer of complexity. On the palate, it’s fresh and juicy, with a smooth texture and a lively acidity that provides balance and structure. The fruit flavors are bright and mouthwatering, with red cherry and a touch of cranberry taking center stage, while the subtle earthy and spicy notes add depth. The finish is clean and refreshing, with just a touch of lingering fruit sweetness that leaves you reaching for another sip.

This Pinot Noir is a versatile and food-friendly option. It pairs beautifully with light meats like roast chicken, duck, or grilled salmon, as well as dishes like pasta with tomato-based sauces, mushroom risotto, or a simple charcuterie board. It’s the kind of wine that’s easy to enjoy on its own or alongside a wide range of foods, making it a great all-rounder for any occasion.
