Smells all lifted and sprightly with the estery exuberance of youth making its presence felt via banana and grilled pineapple aromas before poached pear, apple and citrus tones flow through. Some lovely texture and a sense of savoury tension on the palate, which shows dabs of clotted cream, crushed riverstone and wildflowers on the finish. Briney and sapid right at the wine's conclusion.

Holm Oak is a labour of love for winemaker Bec Duffy and her husband Tim Duffy, viticulturalist. Since 2006 they have followed their dream of crafting delicious expressions of cool-climate Tasmanian wines.
One of Bec and Tim’s shared passions is to create things. They simply love to craft treasures from Mother Nature’s wonderland. They are creative winemakers, pushing boundaries and trying new techniques, but always remaining true to Tasmania’s highly regarded winemaking reputation.
Their complementary skills drive their vision to produce delicious wines that reflect their home, Tasmania’s pristine Tamar Valley, and their own personalities – honest, down to earth, genuine and authentic.
This Pinot Gris has beautiful lifted pear and jasmine characters on the nose with some hints of creamy, leesy characters underneath. Whilst the powerful palate is packed with flavour, it also has added complexity and weight as a result of the wild ferment. The wine finishes with lovely crisp natural acidity.
