A mix of negociant and domaine fruit. Mid lemon yellow. A faint pyrazine note to the nose, yet excellent intensity, with a fine backbone for Petit Chablis, and good length. Nicely done. In bottle. Drink from 2024-2025. Tasted Jun 2024.

Jean-Marc Brocard Petit Chablis is a crisp, pure and beautifully drinkable Chardonnay that showcases the limestone plateau surrounding the historic heart of Chablis. Brocard is one of the leading names in the region, farming with a strong organic and biodynamic philosophy to preserve clarity of fruit and expression of terroir. These Petit Chablis parcels sit at slightly higher elevation on Portlandian limestone, giving lighter, more delicate wines with freshness and bright mineral edges. Fermentation and ageing take place in stainless steel to protect that clean, saline driven style.
The nose is bright and inviting. Lemon zest, green apple and white peach lead with a lift of fresh florals, grapefruit and pear skin. A fine mineral thread evokes chalk dust, wet stone and a sea breeze whisper that marks true northern Burgundy origins. As it opens, subtle notes of fennel, acacia blossom and citrus peel add charm without weight.
The palate is sleek, lively and refreshing. Citrus and orchard fruit glide across a lightly silky texture shaped by a short rest on lees. Flavours of lime, crisp apple, peach skin and a touch of quince unfold with mouthwatering acidity that keeps everything focused. The finish is long, dry and clean with lingering fruit, florals and that signature Chablis mineral hum. Best enjoyed young for its vibrant precision.
A perfect match for oysters, prawns, grilled whiting, sushi, goat cheese, fresh salads, pasta with herbs or anything served seaside. It’s classic Petit Chablis: pure, zesty and beautifully uncomplicated.
