Julian Haart Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Spätlese Riesling from the Mosel is a luminous, late-harvest wine that captures the magic of one of Germany’s most legendary vineyards. Goldtröpfchen—meaning “little golden droplets”—is a south-facing amphitheatre of steep slate slopes above the village of Piesport, long celebrated for producing Rieslings with seductive perfume, ripe fruit intensity, and refined minerality. In the hands of Julian Haart, this historic site reaches new heights of elegance and detail.

Julian Haart is one of the Mosel’s new-generation stars, blending traditional sensibilities with a modern, vineyard-first mindset. Having trained with luminaries like Egon Müller and Klaus Peter Keller, Julian crafts wines of balance, energy, and site expression. His parcels in Goldtröpfchen are planted to old, ungrafted vines rooted deep in blue and grey slate, producing fruit of tremendous concentration and aromatic lift.

The Goldtröpfchen Spätlese is harvested late, under perfect conditions, allowing botrytis to delicately concentrate sugars while maintaining vibrant acidity. Fermentation is natural and slow, and the wine is aged in large neutral fuder barrels to preserve purity and tension.

In the glass, it bursts with aromas of white peach, pineapple, orange blossom, and crushed slate.
