Julian Haart, one of the brightest stars of the new generation in the Mosel, trained with icons like Egon Müller and Klaus Peter Keller before establishing his own estate, where he now produces some of the region’s most exciting and terroir-transparent wines.

The Piesporter QBA is sourced from vines in the famed Goldtröpfchen vineyard and surrounding steep, slate-laced parcels near the village of Piesport. These southwest-facing slopes soak up the sun while the cool Mosel climate and ancient Devonian slate soils give the wine its signature balance of ripe fruit and razor-sharp acidity.

In the cellar, Julian Haart works with a gentle hand—native yeast fermentation, long lees contact, and minimal intervention are key to preserving freshness and vineyard expression. The QBA (Qualitätswein) level might suggest entry-level on paper, but in practice, this wine punches well above its classification.

Expect lifted aromatics of lime blossom, white peach, crushed slate, and green apple.
