Deep ruby red. Fragrant aromas of black cherry, raspberry, white pepper and rose petals all lift from the glass. Medium weighted, mixed berry fruits sit through the core, touch of bresaola and dried herbs adding character to the entry then notes of pepper and florals build along the line. Acidity and tannins work well to guide it long, keeping it fresh and offering a drying grip into the finish. Drink 2025 to 2031.

A delightful, medium-weight red of crunchy texture, red cherry, raspberry, white pepper, green herbal detail and some light smoky spice elements. Feels very fresh and easy to drink, the tartness of fruit a pronounced character here, but fits for barbera's inclusion. Good fun, is the message. Drink 2024 to 2029.

The Saturno family has been at the helm of Longview Vineyard since 2007, building on the estate's reputation as one of the Adelaide Hills' most awarded single vineyard producers. The Vista blends two varieties that complement each other naturally — Shiraz for spicy, crunchy berry fruit and structure, and Barbera for its juicy, cherry-like brightness and natural acidity. It is an Italian-inspired combination that feels entirely at home in the cool climate of Macclesfield.
The 2023 growing season was long and even in the Adelaide Hills, allowing gradual flavour accumulation that suits both varieties well. Fruit was destemmed, co-fermented and matured for 12 months in predominantly seasoned French and Austrian oak puncheons, preserving the freshness and aromatic lift that define this wine's character.
The result is medium-bodied and immediately appealing — red cherry, raspberry and dark berry on the nose, lifted by white pepper, rose petal and a savoury thread of dried herbs. The palate is bright and juicy with a pleasing tartness, fine tannins and a fresh, lingering finish. Good fun and genuinely versatile at the table.
Serve slightly chilled alongside grilled lamb, pizza, charcuterie or a simple pasta with tomato and herbs. Enjoyable now and drinking well through 2031.
