Louis Latour Chassagne-Montrachet is a refined and beautifully composed Burgundy white from one of the most respected négociant houses in the Côte d’Or. Chassagne-Montrachet sits on the southern side of the Côte de Beaune, where Chardonnay thrives on a patchwork of limestone, marl and rocky clay that give wines their distinctive balance of richness and minerality. Louis Latour sources fruit from select growers across the village, guiding the wine through fermentation and ageing in French oak barrels to enhance texture and savoury complexity while allowing the terroir’s elegance to shine.

The bouquet is graceful and layered. White peach, lemon curd and ripe pear mingle with hints of apple blossom and citrus zest. Time in oak introduces almond meal, toast and gentle baking spice while fine lees contribute a touch of flinty reduction. A subtle chalky undertone reminds you of the limestone beneath the vines, keeping the aromas fresh and poised.

The palate combines silky fruit with vibrant structure. Stone fruit and citrus glide over a smooth, lightly creamy texture, balanced by precise acidity that keeps everything focused. Flavours of peach skin, grapefruit, nougat and roasted hazelnut evolve in measured layers, guided into a long mineral edged finish that leaves notes of citrus oil and fine spice lingering. It drinks beautifully now with a short decant but will develop deeper savoury character over five to eight years.
