Peter Zemmer Chardonnay Buchholz from Alto Adige is a finely structured, high-altitude Chardonnay that captures the crystalline freshness and alpine elegance that define this exceptional northern Italian wine region. Grown on steep slopes in the Buchholz cru above the town of Cortina sulla Strada del Vino, this wine showcases the purity, tension, and textural depth that Peter Zemmer has become known for.

The Buchholz vineyard lies at elevations reaching up to 650 metres above sea level, with vines rooted in calcareous, gravelly soils that offer excellent drainage and impart a strong mineral backbone to the fruit. The cool climate and large diurnal temperature swings are perfect for slow ripening, preserving acidity while building aromatic complexity and precision.

Peter Zemmer, a third-generation family winemaker, has elevated his estate’s reputation by combining traditional South Tyrolean craftsmanship with modern precision.
