Slight yeastiness blends with lemon and lime streaks that tease with aromatic notions of white peach. The light palate is absolutely fluid with juiciness and tart but ripe citrus. Yeast notes reappear on the finish, adding more substance to this full-fruited freshness. Aromatic, tangy and zesty—what a winner.”

Stacks of white tree fruit and white currant character, but leesy and garden herb complexity give this sleek and racy but well-structured dry riesling a strong personality. Barely medium-bodied and very cool on the palate. Then comes the long lemon zest, dill and wet stone finish that’s bursting with energy.

Robert Weil Kiedrich Klosterberg Riesling Trocken is a beautifully pure and vibrant dry Riesling from the Rheingau, offering a more approachable but still highly expressive look into the house style of one of Germany’s most celebrated estates. It’s all about precision, energy, and the cool-climate charm that defines this historic winegrowing region.
The Klosterberg vineyard lies just above the village of Kiedrich, where the combination of steep slopes, excellent drainage, and stony phyllite soils create ideal conditions for slowly ripening Riesling. While it doesn’t carry the Grosses Gewächs classification, this wine consistently delivers quality well above its tier—elegant, mineral, and deeply reflective of its place.
Wilhelm Weil, the fourth-generation winemaker behind Weingut Robert Weil, applies the same meticulous care to this wine as he does to his top crus. Grapes are hand harvested, gently pressed, and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel to retain freshness, tension, and aromatic purity.
In the glass, the wine opens with aromas of green apple, lime blossom, crushed stone, and a hint of white peach. The palate is dry, linear, and finely textured with crisp acidity and a saline mineral edge that gives it clarity and length. It’s a fantastic food wine—versatile, elegant, and refreshing.
Perfect with fresh seafood, herbed salads, lightly spiced Asian dishes, or simply enjoyed as a crisp aperitif. This is dry Riesling with lift, charm, and a touch of understated class.
