This mountain wine has all the freshness of alpine meadows. Very cool, focused and precise on the sleek and dynamic medium-bodied palate. I love the Amalfi lemon and white currant brilliance that grows as the wine drives its way along an absolutely straight path off into the distance. Totally pristine, stony finish.”

The nose has a flicker of wood spice. More air brings out a touch of green bergamot peel. The palate is a picture of clarity, brilliance and translucency, with immense juiciness but less obvious fruit. A beautiful aromatic zestiness adds vivid lemon tanginess to the finish. Lovely, long and oh so fresh.

Robert Weil Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Trocken from the Rheingau is a stunning example of precision and elegance in dry Riesling. Sourced from the steep, terraced Turmberg vineyard—located just next to the famed Gräfenberg site—this wine captures the purity of fruit and stony minerality that define the very best of the region’s dry styles.
Turmberg, meaning “tower hill,” takes its name from the ruins of an ancient castle that overlook the vineyard. The site is smaller and slightly cooler than Gräfenberg, with phyllite-rich soils that lend a unique mineral edge to the wines. It was once part of the historic Gräfenberg vineyard before being officially classified as its own Grosses Gewächs (GG) site.
Wilhelm Weil, the fourth-generation winemaker behind Weingut Robert Weil, crafts the Turmberg Riesling Trocken with meticulous attention to detail. Grapes are hand harvested, sorted, and gently pressed, then fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel to preserve freshness and site transparency.
The result is a dry Riesling that’s both vibrant and deeply textured. Aromas of lime zest, green apple, white peach, and crushed slate lead into a palate of crystalline purity. It’s finely structured, with taut acidity, juicy citrus, and a long, mineral-laced finish that lingers with elegance and energy.
This wine is a brilliant match for oysters, sashimi, grilled white fish, or light vegetarian dishes with a citrus twist. It's also built to age beautifully, gaining complexity and savoury depth over time.
