Ruggeri Prosecco Superiore Giustino B DOCG Extra Dry from Treviso in Veneto is one of the flagship wines of the Ruggeri estate, created as a tribute to founder Giustino Bisol and released only in years when conditions are exceptional. It is crafted from Glera grown on the steep hillsides of Valdobbiadene, the heart of the Prosecco Superiore zone, where ancient soils, altitude, and dramatic diurnal shifts give the fruit incredible fragrance and finesse.

The grapes are hand picked from older, low yielding vines and undergo a gentle pressing before a slow, cool fermentation. The base wine is refined through Ruggeri’s meticulous Charmat method, with an extended period on lees to build texture, creaminess, and aromatic complexity. This is what sets Giustino B apart from everyday Prosecco — it has real depth, precision, and purity.

In the glass it shows a bright, pale straw colour with an elegant, persistent mousse. The aroma is beautifully lifted, offering pear, white peach, lemon blossom, and acacia with hints of almond and mineral. The palate is silky and refined, balancing ripe orchard fruit with delicate sweetness and a clean, refreshing finish. There is a subtle chalky note that reflects its hillside origins, giving the wine both charm and structure.

Perfect as an aperitif and superb with prawns, soft cheeses, sushi, or lightly spiced dishes, it also shines with simple antipasti. While most Prosecco is best enjoyed young, Giustino B can develop gracefully over a couple of years thanks to its concentration and extended lees contact.
