2023 Schwarz Wine Co Meta Grenache, Barossa Valley

Grenache sourced from the subregion of Bethany; 60% whole bunch, unfined and unfiltered. I remember judging at a Barossa wine show when I was living in the region and having a discussion with the chairman about what a cracking wine this was. It's consistently one of my favourite grenaches from the Barossa. Spicy, bunchy and packed with ripe plum, raspberry and cranberry fruits while retaining a lightness and an effortless sense of drinkability. Drink to 2035.

The 2023 Grenache Meta offers up floral, cherry and cranberry notes with a gentle dusting of spice. Its firm acidity and whole-bunch tannins are prominent to start before fleshing out on the finish. Drink to 2028.
