Matured in 500L French puncheons (17% new) for eight months. A light, bright ruby red. An attractive, delicate nose offering scents of raspberries, cranberries and gentle spice and rose petal. A forward, very easy-drinking wine with ultra-silky tannins on the smooth finish. Drink now and over the next two to three years.

Yering Station Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley is a vibrant, silky expression of one of Australia’s most celebrated cool-climate regions. Made from estate and grower vineyards across the valley, this wine reflects Yering Station’s long-standing reputation for crafting Pinot with elegance, purity and balance. It sits comfortably between accessibility and structure — fresh enough to enjoy now, but with the savoury undertones and shape that show its class.
The winemaking is careful but not overworked. Hand-picked fruit is fermented in open-top vessels with a mix of whole berries and whole bunches to build aromatic lift and texture. Maturation is in French oak for around 9 to 12 months, using mostly older barrels to let the fruit shine while adding gentle spice and weight.
In the glass, it opens with aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal and baking spice, underpinned by earthy notes and a flicker of oak. The palate is light to medium bodied, with fine tannins and bright acidity. It flows seamlessly, with a red fruit core, subtle forest floor, and a long, savoury finish. This is Yarra Pinot in classic form — graceful, fragrant and food friendly.
Food pairing: Excellent with duck breast and cherry sauce, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or roast beetroot and goats cheese salad. Also lovely with soft cheeses like Taleggio or Brie.
Cellar potential: Beautifully expressive now but will evolve over 5 to 8 years, developing complexity and mellow spice.
