A blend of 61/39% marsanne/roussanne from vines planted between '73 and '85. Unusually both varieties were picked on the same day, before being fermented and matured together. A deep-ish, bright green gold. Complex with aromas of pear, white nectarine, candied ginger and light floral scents. A little more restrained than the '22, this always gently textured wine finishes citrus pithy, chalky and long. Lovely. Drink to 2031.

97 points & Special Value Philip Rich for Halliday Wine Companion, August 2023

Aromas of lemon confit, beeswax, fresh flowers, stone fruit and honeysuckle. The palate is medium-bodied with a densely packed mouthfeel that is cut through with bright and pure acidity. A really well-balanced blend with a nod to the Old World. Drink or hold.

94 points James Suckling, March 2025

Full, bright yellow, showing some bottle age. Rich and intense aromas of developed pineapple, lemon-curd aromas, the palate also full and quite rich, with a twist of phenolics adding grip and dryness to the savoury finish. Drink to 2030.

90 points Huon Hooke for The Real Review, December 2025

Yeringberg was established in 1863, with the vineyard forming a small part of the large Yarra Valley grazing property of the de Pury family who remain its custodians today. The original Old Vineyard plantings were pulled by 1921 but re-established from 1969 onwards with further expansions through the planting of the Viognier, Shiraz and Cabernet focused Front Drive vineyard in 1999 and two additional parcels in 2021, one dedicated to Pinot Noir, the other mirroring the varietal makeup of the Old Vineyard.

Winemaker Sandra de Pury continues her family’s legacy with a style that is both respectful of tradition and modern in its precision. This white wine blends Old Vineyard fruit from Marsanne vines planted in 1973 and Australia's oldest known Roussanne vines planted in 1983.

Would sit well at a festive table with Mughlai Murgh Badami (almond-braised Chicken with saffron rice) or maybe a Lebanese Samke Harra-style baked fish.
