Atlas Watervale Riesling from the Clare Valley is a beautifully pure and vibrant expression of one of Australia’s most iconic white wine styles. Crafted by Adam Barton and Amy Lane, it captures the bright energy and precision that the Watervale subregion is famous for. The elevated vineyards, rich limestone soils and cool nights combine to create Riesling fruit of intense flavour, fine structure and natural acidity.

The grapes are sourced from classic Watervale sites where terra rossa over limestone soils encourage depth and minerality. Hand picked fruit is gently pressed and fermented slowly at cool temperatures in stainless steel to preserve aromatic intensity and crispness. No oak is used, allowing the focus to remain firmly on purity and site character. The result is a Riesling that is elegant, expressive and perfectly balanced.

In the glass it shows pale straw with green reflections. The aroma is lifted and precise, offering lime, lemon zest, green apple and white blossom with hints of wet slate and mineral. The palate is dry and finely structured, with citrus and orchard fruit flavours supported by zesty acidity and a long, chalky finish. It is both delicate and powerful, displaying the classic Clare Valley combination of tension and clarity.

Atlas Watervale Riesling pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, Thai salads, sushi or dishes with citrus and herbs. It is equally at home with goat cheese or spicy Asian cuisine.
