Cantine Pra Otto Soave Classico is a benchmark expression of Garganega that shows just how serious and age worthy Soave can be when grown and handled with care. Graziano Prà has been one of the leading figures in the renaissance of Soave, farming organically on the steep volcanic hills of Monteforte d’Alpone in the heart of the Classico zone. The Otto vineyard sits on ancient basalt and volcanic ash, soils that naturally give tension, savoury depth and a distinctive mineral signature. Low yields, hand harvesting and gentle handling in the cellar allow the vineyard character to shine, with fermentation and ageing carried out primarily in stainless steel to preserve clarity and freshness.

The aromatics are quietly complex and refined. Ripe pear, yellow apple and white peach sit at the core, lifted by lemon zest and hints of chamomile and almond blossom. Beneath the fruit lies a savoury undertone of wet stone, crushed volcanic rock and a faint herbal note that adds intrigue rather than greenness. As the wine opens, subtle notes of fennel, citrus oil and a touch of beeswax emerge, giving the bouquet depth and poise.

The palate is beautifully balanced, offering both texture and precision.
