So beautifully generous on the palate, so rich but so fresh, with great salinity – really mouth-watering. That’s what makes this vintage so special: generosity and freshness plus acidity and salinity makes for great vibrancy and impact. Hugely impressive. Drink: 2026 - 2048

97 points Matt Walls, Decanter Sep 2025

Château de Beaucastel is one of the great names of the Southern Rhône, with the Perrin family producing exceptional wines from their historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate for generations. While its red enjoys legendary status, the white is every bit as compelling, prized for its remarkable texture, aromatic complexity and ability to age. Produced in much smaller quantities, the 2024 Blanc is a beautiful expression of the estate's distinctive character.

Roussanne dominates the blend, supported by Grenache Blanc and other traditional white Rhône varieties. Beaucastel's organically farmed vineyards and limestone influenced soils help preserve freshness, while careful maturation develops the richness and structure that distinguish this wine from more straightforward Rhône whites.

Pale golden straw with luminous highlights. White peach, ripe pear and apricot mingle with honeysuckle, lemon oil and a hint of fresh fennel. The palate is rich and silky, with generous stone fruit, subtle almond and gentle spice balanced by refreshing acidity. A delicate saline character carries through the long, beautifully textured finish.

Try it with Vietnamese turmeric fish and dill, roast cauliflower with saffron yoghurt and pistachios, or grilled Moreton Bay bugs with lemon and tarragon. Its richness also makes it a wonderful match for a fragrant seafood tagine.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2038+. Beautifully expressive young, with the concentration and structure to develop honeyed, nutty and savoury complexity over time.
