Fresh and crunchy italianate white from northeastern Victoria
Pale straw in colour and brimming in wildflowers, lemon, quince and pear aromas. Super fresh and packed in tangy acid crunch. The Dagger elevates grigio into a sophisticated wine with nashi pear, quince and citrus flavours drizzled in lime-lemon citrus and delivered with the kind of vibrancy that grigio drinkers love to see. Drink to 2028.

More mellow notes of almond meal, pear and freshly cut grass on the nose. The palate is tight and alive thanks to a high hit of acidity that jolts the flavours into action. It's uncomplicated yet refreshing and will appeal to many, given its balance and liveliness. Drink to 2027.

Cloak & Dagger is a negociant virtual winery established in 2016 by Nina Stocker and Callie Jemmson. They sold the label in 2024 to the Joval Family Wines group, with Callie remaining onboard as the head winemaker and a key decision maker.
Callie’s focus is on Italian styles and varieties from fruit sourced across Victoria’s northeastern King Valley, Alpine Valleys and the Nagambie Lakes regions. Her aim is to offer wines that compliment food and can be simply enjoyed as an aperitivo to celebrate life the people around us.
The fruit for the 2024 The Dagger was sourced from the King Valley and Alpine Valleys regions. Harvested early in the morning, the fruit was crushed, pressed and cold settled for 48 hours before the juice was racked off solids and inoculated with aroma enhancing yeasts strains for a cool fermentation in stainless steel.
Great with risi e bisi, or a grilled piece of white fish with a fennel and dill salad dressed with a lemony vinaigrette.
