Crittenden Peninsula Chardonnay from the Mornington Peninsula is a beautifully balanced and expressive wine that showcases the elegance of cool-climate Australian Chardonnay. Crafted by Rollo Crittenden at the family’s sustainably farmed Dromana estate, it reflects the refinement, texture, and purity for which Crittenden Estate has become one of the region’s benchmark producers.

The fruit comes from select vineyard parcels planted on the Peninsula’s red volcanic and sandy loam soils, which provide both structure and vibrancy. Gentle maritime breezes from Port Phillip Bay help maintain acidity while allowing long, even ripening. The grapes are hand harvested and whole-bunch pressed, with fermentation taking place in a mix of French oak barriques and stainless steel. Partial malolactic fermentation and extended lees contact build texture, while careful oak use adds subtle spice and creaminess without overshadowing the fruit.

In the glass it shines pale gold with green highlights. The aroma is fresh and complex, showing white peach, citrus zest, and melon with hints of hazelnut, flint, and brioche. The palate is elegant yet textural, revealing layers of stone fruit, lemon curd, and gentle oak balanced by taut acidity and a mineral finish.
